Macon Bank is proud to offer Statement Savings Accounts. You receive a quarterly statement of all account activity and your account can be accessed through any ATM that recognizes STAR®, Cirrus® or Plus® cards.
We also offer a Health Savings Account for those customers who have high deductible health plans.

- Up to six (6) drafts or electronic transfers to other accounts per calendar month

Health Savings Account
A Macon Bank Health Savings Account (HSA) gives you more control over your healthcare costs. A Health Savings Account is designed to help individuals save for future qualified medical and retiree health expenses on a tax-free basis. A Health Savings Account has a tax favored status - meaning what you contribute is either pre-tax or tax deductible. Using this money for qualified medical expenses is tax-free.
Combined with High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), a Health Savings Account offers a more affordable approach to healthcare. A Health Savings Account is your account. If you switch jobs, the HSA account goes with you. Your money rolls over every year. There is no "use it or lose it" requirement.
One of the main things to remember about Health Savings Accounts is that you must have a qualified High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) to open an HSA. Contact your insurance carrier to verify that your High Deductible Health Plan qualifies for an HSA.
